Spanish Town
Virgin Gorda's working harbor and town. Transient marina dockage, full provisioning, ferry connections, local shops, and Coco Maya just outside town.
Good to know
Spanish Town is Virgin Gorda’s working harbor โ ferries running in and out, local vessels alongside them, and a marina that keeps the island supplied. It is not a bay for swimming or hanging off the back of the boat. What it is good for is getting things done: transient dockage, a full provisioning run, and the local shops in town within easy reach. Coco Maya, just outside town, is a popular dinner stop and a common reason boats come in. If you want local flair rather than resort polish, this is the stop.
Good to know
- Working harbor with ferry and commercial traffic โ stay clear of the ferry lanes on your approach and departure.
- No moorings here. Transient dockage at the marina is the way in, so call ahead in season.
- Best used as a provisioning and town stop rather than a swim or snorkel stop.
- Coco Maya is a short ride from the harbor and fills up โ reserve before you come in.
