Saba Rock
Small island resort and marina inside Virgin Gorda's North Sound. Kite surfing and efoiling, waterfront bars, and tarpon feeding most nights at 5pm.
Good to know
Saba Rock is a small island inside North Sound with a long history in BVI water sports, and a fair number of the early treasure hunters called it home. The resort and marina have been rebuilt, and the restaurant and bars make it one of the easier places in the sound to sit and watch the water go by. Kite surfers and efoilers work this end of the sound regularly, so there is often a show happening in front of you. The tarpon feeding runs most nights around 5pm and is worth timing your evening around.
Good to know
- Tarpon feeding most nights around 5pm. Get there before it starts rather than after.
- Kite surfing and efoiling are the focus here; Leverick Bay and Bitter End cover the family end of the water sports.
- Marina dockage for smaller vessels as well as moorings, so you can tie up rather than swing if you would rather.
- Ten reservable moorings in a small field โ book ahead in season.
