Other Islands

The smaller islands and cays of the BVI — day anchorages, dive sites, national park stops, and the private islands you'll sail past.

About Other Islands

The BVI has far more islands than the ones you’ll overnight on. Some are dive destinations, some are lunch stops, and a few you’ll only ever sail past. Here’s what’s out there.

Guana Island — Monkey Point is on Guana.

Great Camanoe — Diamond Reef, off Marina Cay, is technically on Great Camanoe.

Salt Island — where the Rhone is located.

Dead Man’s Island — off Peter Island, with nothing on it but a long history going back to the pirates. Apparently this is where they would maroon other pirates, who would either starve or try to swim over to Peter.

Ginger Island — there’s nothing on Ginger, but it has world-class snorkeling and diving just off the coast.

Fallen Jerusalem — like a smaller version of The Baths.

Great Dog, West Dog, George Dog and Cockroach Island — all have nice dive sites.

Prickly Pear Island — part of North Sound, with a national park and a nice place to anchor.

Eustatia Island and Necker Island — both privately owned.
